Pastor’s Column – November 20, 2022
This weekend we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King which is the last Sunday of the Church year. As an American people, we do not like kings too much. We dislike them so much that our country fought a war to free ourselves from the rule of King George of England. Jesus is not a dictatorial king, but is a king who laid down his life for His People. Jesus, our King, offers us the gift of everlasting life and wants to be involved in the lives of His People. Let us celebrate this feast with much love and gratitude for the many ways that Jesus, our King, enriches our lives.
This Thursday is Thanksgiving Day. It is traditionally a day for families to gather and to share a very special meal. Many families have the tradition of watching the football games that are played on this day. At the root of its inception, this day was founded as a day to give thanks to God for all the blessings that He has bestowed upon us and our nation. Let us take some time on this special day and give thanks to God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!
