Pastor’s Column
Last Sunday’s Picnic at Dorchester Park was great. It was super to be able to gather with our parish family and enjoy a beautiful sunny day, some great food, and even better company. What a great surprise the birthday cake was! It was good for us to be together to grow in our relationship with one another. I would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make sure that this day was a success!
It is hard to believe that school starts in a little more than a week. It is time for us to begin registering for our Religious Education Program in our parish. It is important for our parish to assist parents in their role of being the primary Religious Educators of our young people. Please make your plans now to making participating in our Religious Education Program a priority in your family’s life. Weekly attendance at Religious Education classes and weekly Mass together as a family are the best way to share our faith with the young people in our parish.
Our Readings from Sacred Scripture this weekend speak to us about the gift of humility. Humility is honesty with ourselves and others about who we are. In the midst of our world that loves to create false images, may we be a humble people in the sight of others and God!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!!
