From Our Pastor – February 20, 2022

Many times when we read the teachings of Jesus in Sacred Scripture, our immediate feeling might be, “easy for you to say!” The teachings of Jesus seem impossible to us at times. Today’s Gospel is one of those occasions.

“Turn the other cheek,” not easy!
“Love those who hate you,” not easy!
“Treat others as you wish to be treated,” not always easy!

However, obedience to this type of love, reflects God’s love for us! His mercy and forgiveness is boundless! Can we do this by ourselves? No!! We can do it only with the grace of God and that should always be our prayer.

May God bless us and may Mary keep us always in His love!
