On this Third Sunday of Advent, the Church calls us to rejoice because โ€œthe Lord Is near.โ€ In the midst of the busyness of this season, it is difficult for us to believe that the Lord Jesus is present in the midst of our preparations. Our Lord is with us in the midst of the hustle and bustle of our lives. He is present, but so many times, we are so busy that we fail to recognize Him. Let us take some time this week to rejoice at the nearness of our Lord Jesus.

This past Monday evening was a wonderful night at our Advent Penance Service. It was great to celebrate Godโ€™s mercy and forgiveness with our young people for the first time and to see so many members of our parish take advantage of this great opportunity.

This Monday evening, we have another excellent opportunity to prepare for Christmas. Fr. Thomas will be at St. Stephenโ€™s Church in Marathon from 4:00-7:00 PM waiting to celebrate Godโ€™s mercy and forgiveness with anyone who needs it in the Sacrament of Confession. We are joining with other parishes in the Diocese of Syracuse and participating in the Light is On for You. Please take advantage of this great opportunity to prepare for Christmas.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
