This Sunday begins the holiest week of the year for our Parish Family. Holy week is when we celebrate the Passion, Death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Sacred Triduum is the solemn celebration of this Paschal mystery. We will begin our Sacred Triduum on Holy Thursday with the Mass of the Lordโ€™s Supper at St. Patrickโ€™s Church at 6:00 PM. It is here that we recall the institution of the Sacrament of Holy Orders and the Sacrament of the Eucharist. As we recall the events of the Last Supper, let us renew our faith and love in the Lordโ€™s presence in the Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist.

On Good Friday we will celebrate the Liturgy of the Lordโ€™s Passion at 6:00 PM at St. Stephenโ€™s Church. Good Friday is the only day in the Church year that Mass is not celebrated. This solemn liturgy includes the Passion of the Lord and the veneration of the cross. We also are able to receive the Eucharist during this solemn liturgy.

Easter Sunday is the greatest feast of the Church Year. We will have our regular Mass schedule on Easter. Please make every effort to attend these prayerful liturgies so we can better celebrate the presence of the Risen Christ in our midst. HAVE A GREAT AND HOLY WEEK!!!!

Fr. Jim
