June Calendar

• June 21st…
  Virtus Re-Certification – All who have attended the Virtus – “Protecting God’s Children” Program must renew their certification every five years. A Recertification Program will be held on Friday, June 21st, at 9:00 AM at our Whitney Point Church Hall. Please register online at www.syracusediocese.org/safe-environment or call the Safe Environment Office at 315-470-1421 or call our parish office to be registered. The program lasts 1 1/2 hours and is required for all who wish to continue working with children or who are Church employees.
• June 23rd…
  Calling all 2019 Graduates! We will be having a special Mass for all graduating High School and College students on Sunday, June 23rd, at both the 8:30 and 10:30 AM Masses. Please plan on attending.
• June 23rd…
  Corpus Christi Mass & Procession – St. James Church, Main St., Johnson City, will host a Corpus Christi procession following the 11:30 AM Sunday Mass on June 23rd. The priests, deacons, and servers will process under a guarded canopy with the Holy Eucharist around the parish property stopping twice for Benediction. The procession will begin and end in the church. We will sing hymns, litanies, and prayers to publicly profess our faith in the real presence of our Lord Jesus Christ in the holiest sacrament of the altar. This event is for all members of our Catholic faith, young and old. The procession is a time of public prayer and deepening our Catholic faith. All are encouraged and welcome to partake in the procession. For those unable to walk, we will begin and end in the church.

  Join us for the Solemn Mass and Celebration in Honor of The Sacred Heart of Jesus Friday, June 28th at 7:00 PM, Sacred Heart Church 8229 Brewerton Rd Cicero, NY.
  Reception immediately following in Church Gathering Area.
• June 30th…
  On Sunday, June 30th, we will take up the Peter’s Pence Collection, which provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry
  out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of
  war, oppression, and natural disasters. Please be generous. For more information visit www.usccb.org/peters-pence.

August Calendar:

• August 5th…
  Save the Date for VBS! This year we will be having VBS from August 5th thru August 9th every evening.
• August 18th
  Our parish picnic will be held on our Whitney Point Church lawn. We will begin with Mass presided by Fr. Doug and continue with food and friendship.
• August 28th…
  JESUS – Join Most Holy Rosary Church, Maine, on a day trip to the Sight & Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA on Wednesday, August 28th. to see JESUS at 3:00 PM. Price per person: $100.00 for Shafer bus & show. Before the show, we will stop at Hershey Farms for lunch (you are welcome to bring your own lunch and eat at their picnic tables.)
  Payment is due by July 1st. If you are interested, please call Most Holy Rosary’s parish office at 862-3216 to sign up.
