Parish Council Meeting Minutes — 03/23/2021

Attendees: Dan Burke, Justin VanTassel, John Mihalko, Don Barry, Ron Orzel, Don Alexy

This meeting was called to discuss ideas and concerns about Father Doug’s retirement.

First, we reviewed the letter that was sent to Fr. Manno and Bishop Lucia from Peg Orzel.

We decided to draft a letter as a Parish Council in a similar manner.

John Mihalko wrote a template which the council used with a few minor changes.

We discussed looking into hiring an administrator if we do not get a long-term priest assigned to us.

Don Alexy talked about restarting a parish ministry committee. The goal would be to try and fill gaps in the church and get people to start helping out. We could start by asking the parish where the gaps are currently. Then, we could tackle the gaps where we could make the most impact.

We discussed needing to keep sign-ups for parishioners for Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday.
