On Sunday, July 14, Fr. Dennis Cleary, a Maryknoll Missionary will speak at our Masses and give our parishioners an opportunity to take part in the vital work of bringing Christ’s name and message to all people. Upon Ordination in 1977, Fr. Cleary was assigned to Venezuela, where he spent 17 years, serving as Assistant Regional Superior until 1989, when he was elected Regional Superior for the Venezuela Region. He returned to the United States in 1993 to help open a new Maryknoll development House in Jacksonville, Florida.On Sunday, July 14, Fr. Fr. Cleary served as the U.S. Regional Superior of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers serving in the United States from 2000-2004. In 2005 he was assigned to China where he taught English at Northeastern University in Shenyang. Fr. Cleary has also served as the Director of the Mission Education and Vocation Dept. at Maryknoll, NY and has taught English at the Korean Catholic Foreign Mission Society Seminary. Most recently Fr Cleary has been the Director of the China Teachers Program. Currently he is a member of the Maryknoll Senior Missioners Community and is assisting international Catholic priests serving here in language skills.
