Our Ecumenical Food Pantry receives food from CHOW to supplement what we can purchase at CHOW. CHOW is sponsoring a Hunger Walk at the Commons (former Oakdale Mall) to raise awareness of hunger in our area and raise funds. There is no charge for attending this event on Sept.20 from 12-3. There will be live music, caricature drawings, a juggle, face painting and raffles. If you can not donate but would like to support CHOW you can donate on line at www.broomecouncil.net and search for CHOW. You can also donate directly to our local food pantry by sending a check to POB 711 Food Pantry Whitney Point or dropping off a donation. Our client number has increased, the cost of food has gone up and our donations are down. We would appreciate any amount. This month we are collecting Jiffy Muffin Mix at the pantry.
