Today the Church rejoices in the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of the Church, and our Mother. Because of her role in Salvation history as the mother of our Savior, Jesus Christ, she was free of the corruption of sin and death. We celebrate today, her Assumption into heaven and her continued Motherhood, guiding us to Eternal Life. It is so important for us to develop a Marian Spirituality, a closeness to Mary, for her protection, example, and guidance.

Mary is so powerful in directing us from temptation to sin. The devil hates her for this! Mary is so powerful in her example of how to live totally for Christ, as she does. Mary is powerful in guiding us to listen to what God is calling us to do with our Christian life, as she continues to do in Heaven. Turn to her, pray to her, especially the Rosary! And one day, go to join Her for eternity in Heaven! May God bless us and may Mary keep us always in His Love!
