I would like to welcome Fr. Tomas Macauley back to our St. Stephen – St. Patrick Parish Community. It is great to have him here back with us. I hope that he knows that he has been in our thoughts and prayers as he was attending the funeral of his mother. I would also like to thank Fr. Peter Tassini for all his help during the absence of Fr. Thomas. It is always good to see Fr. Peter back here again.
This past week I was attending the annual Clergy Conference for the Diocese of Syracuse. The theme of the conference was on the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It is good for us to reflect upon this great gift that God has given to His Church. It is important for us to realize that in this sacrament, we encounter a loving and merciful God. That is the focus of this sacrament. When was the last time you met our Lord Jesus in this special way. The sacrament of Penance is offered every Monday evening before and after our 6:00 Mass. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
