𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧 – 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑

This week is Vocation Awareness Week. It is a time that we pause to reflect upon the response that we make to God’s call in our lives. The Church teaches us that the three primary ways that we respond to God’s call is through the vocation of marriage, the Call to Consecrated Life and as an ordained person in the Church. The ordained person is set aside to serve God’s People in a special way through the sacrament of Holy Orders. This is done as a Bishop, Priest of Deacon. We are blessed to have a man in our parish who is preparing for the Sacrament of Holy Orders and to ordained to the Permanent Deaconate.

This Sunday John Mihalko will receive the Rites of Lector and Acolyte from Bishop Lucia at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse. God willing, John will be ordained a Permanent Deacon in May of next year. I would like to invite all members of our parish family to keep John and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he continues his journey toward the Permanent Deaconate. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!
