๐๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ซโ€™๐ฌ ๐‚๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ง – ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‘

This weekend we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. It is the day that the Holy Spirit descended upon Mary and the apostles in the upper room. Today is the birthday of the Church as the Holy Spirit was able to change, transform and unite the apostles into the Church. We recall the day the Holy Spirit changed the timid apostles and transformed them into the Church who announced the Good News of Jesus Christ to the known world. The Holy Spirit empowered them and united them for this daunting task.

This Monday is Memorial Day. While many of us spend the day as the โ€œunofficialโ€ beginning of summer, let us all pause and reflect upon the true meaning of this day. Let us ask the Lord to give eternal life to all who gave their lives in service of our nation. May we thank God for the gift of their lives and remember that our freedom came at a cost of their blood that was shed.
