This weekโ€™s Lenten journey calls us to reflect upon Abraham, the Father of our faith. In this weekendโ€™s Second Reading from the Book of Genesis, we see how Abram obeys God and leaves his homeland and goes to a land where God leads him. Abram had no map, no rest stops or paved roads to travel on. He simply heard Godโ€™s voice and obeyed Him. Abraham then became a blessing that God will use for all the world. This was a special covenant or promise that God made with Abraham. God also makes a covenant with us through baptism. He promises that we will be His children and that we will live in our heavenly homeland if we allow Him to journey with us through life. Lent calls us back to reflect upon our baptismal covenant and to once again renew our commitment to being followers and disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. Letโ€™s take some time this week to reflect upon our baptismal commitment.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!
