𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧 – 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑

Our Scripture Readings this weekend speak to us about the patience of Almighty God. Our First Reading from the Book of Wisdom reminds us that God is patient with His People and always is calling us to repentance and a change of life. Our Gospel tells us the story of the weeds and the wheat that is sown in the field. Jesus tells us that the owner of the field does not immediately pull up the weeds from the field, but, rather, is patient with the harvest, waiting till harvest time to separate the weeds from the wheat. This answers the age-old question of why God allows war and evil to exist in our world. God is constantly waiting for us to turn away from our sinful ways and to return to Him. Let us examine our lives this week and recognize those areas which need to change and then ask the Lord for His healing and forgiving grace in our lives.

Next weekend we all will gather for one weekend Liturgy at ST. PATRICK’S CHURCH at 8:30 AM. I feel it is important for us to be together so I can share some information with our entire Parish Community about the Diocese of Syracuse and Chapter 11 Reorganization. I thank everyone for their patience and flexibility in changing their schedules for this one Sunday. I look forward to being with everyone to share this important information with our entire Parish Family. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
