This weekendโs Readings from Sacred Scripture speak to us about the parable of the sower who went out to sow some seed. Jesus tells us about the different types of soil that the seed fell on. We are called this weekend to reflect upon the soil of our lives that we have prepared to receive the Word of God. We are called to daily work upon the soil of our hearts to prepare it to listen to Godโs Word. May we remove the weeds, stones, rock and things that prevent the Word of God from taking root in our hearts and in our lives. May our work at tilling the soil of our hearts help to produce fruits at thirty, sixty or hundredfold in our lives.
I would like to schedule a single Mass for SUNDAY, JULY 30th, at 8:30 AM at St. Patrickโs Parish in Whitney Point. I would like the opportunity to share with our entire community an update on the Chapter 11 proceedings with the Diocese of Syracuse and I feel that this is the best way to do that. Since I am also the Pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Parish in Vestal, this schedule enables me to be with the parish communities of St. Stephen-St Patrick, Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament parishes. I look forward to being with all of you and sharing the update with you. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!
