𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧 – 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑
This Sunday we celebrate the Eleventh Sunday of Ordinary Time. It is hard to believe that we are now back in the period of Ordinary Time. The Gospel Reading speaks to us about the call of the Apostles. Jesus called the apostles and tasked them with the spreading of the Good News. He called them, not because they were perfect, but because He loved them and believed in them. Jesus calls each of us just like He called the apostles. He calls us into a special relationship with Him and to a life of holiness. This is the vocation of all of us. We are all called to be a part of His Holy People and to speak of God’s love by the way we live our lives. May we thank our God for His call and rededicate ourselves to deepening our relationship with Him.
This Sunday we also celebrate Father’s Day. We thank God for the gift of all fathers among us. The Vocation of Fatherhood is a call to make God present in the life of the family. When His disciples asked Jesus what God was like, He told them that God was like a Father. Fathers daily reveal to their families the presence of a loving God who provides for and protects His People. Let us give thanks to God for the great witness of all fathers among us. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!!!
