𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧 – 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Fr. Thomas Macauley on being named administrator of our parish family beginning on July 1. While it is difficult for me to leave this assignment, I can do so with confidence that Fr. Thomas will do a marvelous job shepherding our parish family. I will continue to keep all members of our parish family in my thoughts and prayers as we prepare for the transition next month. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I transition into this new assignment.
This weekend we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi or The Body and Blood of Christ. It is good for us to take some time this week to reflect upon this great gift that Jesus has entrusted to the Church. How awesome a mystery it is that the God who created the heavens and the earth chooses to dwell in our midst under the sacramental signs of bread and wine. Our God is Really Present in the Eucharist and wants to be a part of our daily lives. As we celebrate this feast this weekend, let us thank our God for this wonderful gift.
This past Saturday was a historic day for the Diocese of Syracuse as two young men were ordained to the priesthood at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse. Let us keep Fr. Ben Schrantz and Fr. Pawel Zmija in prayer as they begin their priestly ministry. Let us also as the Lord to open the hearts of our young people to hear His voice as He calls them to a life of service in the Church. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!
