In this weekendโs First Reading from Sacred Scripture Isaiah speaks to us about how God formed His servant from the womb. Each of us were chosen by God while we were in the womb of our mothers and Godโs choice was celebrated on the day of our Baptism.
We were chosen by God to be His servants and to bear witness to Him as John the Baptist did. On this second Sunday of Ordinary time, we are asked to reflect on how we are bearing witness to Godโs love in our lives. How are we witnessing to the presence of God that we just finished celebrating during the Christmas season? Each of us are called to take some time this week and to reflect upon our response to Godโs Baptismal call in our daily lives.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who worked so hard to make our celebrations so beautiful during the Christmas season. It truly is an honor and a great joy to be able to serve our parish family! HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
