In this weekendโ€™s Gospel, John the Baptist appears spreading the Good News. The Good News that Isaiah the Prophet proclaims in the First Reading. We are called to allow God to comfort us and to shepherd His People. Too many times we get so caught up in the rhythm of life that we forget that God wants to comfort us and work through us. As we continue our Advent preparations, let us allow the Lord the time and space to work in our lives and to work in the world through us!

This Monday evening is a special night for our parish family. Fr. Thomas and I will be at St. Patrickโ€™s Church at 6:00 PM for an Advent Penance Service. This is an excellent opportunity for all of us to experience Godโ€™s mercy and forgiveness as we prepare for the Feast of Christmas. Make your plans now to attend this special evening. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!!
