From Our Pastor

Brothers and Sisters:

Peace! Ad Jesum per Mariam (To Jesus through Mary)

First off, know that I have missed you all throughout this ordeal of my stroke on St. Patrick’s Day. You have been in my heart and prayers ever since. Our separation is by far, the most painful of my effects.

Secondly, I need to inform you here that at the direction of my doctors I am not going to be able to return to ministry as I had hoped and prayed. My sight is somewhat impaired but hopefully will return to normal. My legs weren’t great, as you know, and it’s hard to determine how they might have been harmed.

I’ve informed the diocese of these facts and they agree that returning to you is not possible nor would it be good for you or me. These days are certainly difficult to see God’s Will for me but I continue to try in prayer and spirit.

I’m sure your faith community will be a priority for the diocese to find a replacement for you and I am sure as well that you will welcome him as beautifully as you did me.

I am so grateful for all your prayers, cards, Masses, and for expressions of concern and love. There is no way I can adequately thank you for bringing me into your faith family and into your lives. I will always remember all of you and pray gratefully for the short time we had together.

Hopefully, we will see each other soon, until then please continue to pray for me as well for you! May God bless us and may Mary keep us always in His love!

Lovingly yours, Fr. Corey
