• IN LIGHT OF ALL THE PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE, WHAT CAN BE DONE?

The mission of the Church continues! Lenten disciplines of prayer, fasting and almsgiving, should also continue and even increase: (1) pray for those who are ill, their loved ones, those who care for them, and all who are working tirelessly to respond to the coronavirus, (2) offer up whatever you may have to go without, (3) do what you can to reach out to those who are in need and stay connected to them. PUBLIC GATHERINGS FOR MASS ARE SUSPENDED:

• HOW CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE IN THE HOLY SACRIFICE OF THE MASS?

Daily Mass will be live streamed at 12 Noon each day from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on www.youtube.com/syrdio. Sunday Mass airs each week; times located at syrdio.org. Make a Spiritual Communion by praying: My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

• WHAT ABOUT WEDDINGS AND FUNERALS?

They are permitted but only in the presence of the ministers of the liturgy and immediate family/close friends, not to exceed the number of people recommended by the CDC.

• WHAT ABOUT BAPTISM?

They are permitted but only in the presence of immediate family. Fresh water is to be used and fonts are to be cleaned before and after every Baptism.
