Catholic End-of-Life Moral-Medical Decision Making
Catholic End-of-Life Moral-Medical Decision Making Presentation – Advances in medical technology have affected the quality and length of our lives. These same advances have brought about new questions regarding the moral and medical issues surroundings the end-of-life. In response to this need, Saint Joseph’s Health and Trinity Health have initiated an interdisciplinary palliative care team to focus on patients with serious, chronic, or advanced illness, whose aim is to improve quality of life, relief from pain, coordinate care, and to provide for both the medical and spiritual support to patients and families.
Father Charles Vavonese, the author of I am the Resurrection and the Life, a Resource of End-of-Life moral and medical decision making and Dr. Paul Fiacco, President and Medical Director of CNY AIM, a Saint Joseph’s Hospital Clinically Integrated Network, will discuss these matters in a presentation which will be held at Holy Cross Church, Dewitt – Monday, April 1st, at 7:00 pm and at Holy Family, Church, Fairmount – Tuesday, April 9th, at 7:00 pm.
