It is hard to believe that our Parish picnic is two weeks away. We will have our annual picnic at Dorchester Park on September 10th. Our day will begin with Mass at St. Patrickโs church at 11:00 AM. That is the only Mass that will be said that day for our parish community. We will then go to Dorchester Park for an afternoon of food, fun and fellowship. Make your plans now to attend this late summer event. It promises to be a memorable time!
In this weekendโs Gospel, our Lord Jesus journeys with His Disciples to Caesarea Phillipi. It is in this place that He asks them the question: โWho do people say that the Son of Man is?โ He goes on to ask them the question โWho do you say that I am?โ This is a question that each of us has to answer. Our Lord asks each of us how important He is our lives? Do we allow the Lord to be a part of our daily lives? Do we spend time with Him in daily prayer? Do we try to make Him present by the way we treat others? Each of us, like Simon Peter, has to answer this question and it is not a one-time answer. We have to answer this question often in our lives. May we take some time this week to reflect upon the Lord Jesus and His importance in our daily lives. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
