The council members opened with a prayer
The council expressed their deep gratitude to Father Jim for his service to our parishes, The council is also greatly appreciative of Father Thomas and Deacon Tony for their time and dedication.
Old Business: approval of the May 2024 minutes
Maintenance:
St Stephenโs location: The project is complete, cost of materials is 300 dollars, the church is very grateful for the donation of labor, power washing complete for the season
OLPH location: some damage from a recent windstorm, rural service sign was knocked over, parking lot has some pot holes that need to be filled
St Patrickโs location: discussion about sound system (microphone/speakers), people expressed that they had problems hearing at the last funeral
Shingles on the rectory ridge vent were replaced, gutters cleaned
New Business: A company has offered to do our church bulletin for free. Questions and discussion about what changes would need to be made, deadlines, etc.
The Council of Churches meets on Saturday every other month. Peg is looking for someone to replace her as the St. Patrickโs representative.
Father Thomas had some questions and discussion about possible additions to the daily mass schedule.
The Finance Committee will need to meet sometime in July.
Dan Burkeโs term on parish council will be expiring in September. He will need a replacement from the St Patrickโs site.
The parish picnic will be held on Sunday, September 8th at the Dorchester North Pavilion Shelley closed with a prayer.
