It is hard to believe that our Parish Picnic is only two weeks away. It will be great to begin the day on August 21 with Mass at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s in Whitney Point. We all will continue the day at Dorchester Park with great food, games, and fellowship. It is a great opportunity For us to be able to come together and to enjoy some quality time as a parish family. Please remember that there will be only one Mass on that day at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s. Make your plans now to attend this special day!

This weekend’s Readings from Sacred Scripture speak to us about the coming of our Lord Jesus. So many times we think of our Lord’s coming as His coming at the last judgment. We are called to remember that our Lord comes into our lives daily. He is present in the poor and those who need our help. Our Lord is present in His Church and “Really Present” in the Eucharist.

May we ask our Lord to open our eyes this week to recognize His presence as He comes to us.
