Cortland Chenango Rural Services, Inc. CAMPAIGN 2020

Thirty-three Years of Service

Our Annual Fund-Raising Campaign kicks off on September 1st and runs through January 2021. This is our 33rd year of providing help to our rural communities.

Dear Friends and Neighbors, It is with gratefulness we celebrate another year of ministry to the residents of our rural towns (Cincinnatus, Willet, Solon, Taylor, Freetown, Pitcher, Otselic, Lincklaen, German, McDonough and Pharsalia). With your continued support we have been able to meet the needs of many neighbors.

In addition to the ongoing rural needs for food, transportation, medical needs, utilities and housing due to rising costs and situations resulting from illness or underemployment, we have programs throughout the year to provide school supplies, Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance, educational and informative sessions, support groups, space for outside agencies to come meet with rural clients, a Food Pantry, and Nearly New Store. A new program called “No Child Hungry” has completed its second year and has been a blessing to many students who would otherwise go hungry over the weekends.

The mission of Rural Services is helping those in need or referring them to the appropriate agency. Only with your support can volunteers and staff continue to provide these vital services.

Your generosity makes all the difference and we hope to continue with the help of your annual campaign donation. We hope to find at least 1000 people (individuals, organizations and groups) to give $30.00 or more. With this goal of $30,000 met we can establish a solid base of operation. WE NEED “YOU” TO GET THE WORD OUT AND ADVOCATE FOR US!

Our normally scheduled Campaign Day has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our Board of Directors, Staff and Volunteers sincerely hope that you and your loved ones remain safe and assure you that we are here to meet any assistance needs you may have. Please call to make an appointment for the Food Pantry or assistance. In the meantime your donations may be sent to our address and are gratefully received.

Thank you for your continued support.

With gratitude,
Rural Services Board Members, Staff and Volunteers
